    Frustrating Times

Eventing can be very frustrating at times. Forget Plan B, I'm currently on Plan Z for this year! Sparkle is unfortunately still suffering from his respiratory infection and it looks like he will miss the rest of the season.

    Qualified BSHII

The last few weeks have been quite quiet on the horse front, Sparkle went up to Hopetoun to compete in the CCI** but unfortunately he was very flat and quiet during his test and wasn't himself.

Shoes, Check! Teeth, Check! All Set!

Skipper has been with us a few weeks now and has had the full spa treatment! New shoes, wormed, teeth done (by the excellent Emson Equine) and tomorrow he is being treated by Andrea my physio. It's just a routine check, as I like to get the horses looked at a few times a year to make sure they are on top form!

The Ups and Downs of Eventing!

I've had my ups and downs with Sparkle recently whist out competing. He wasn't feeling himself at Richmond Horse Trials, but after a session with the physio and a few days rest Sparkle was back on form.

    Sparkling New Gear for Sparkle

It's been a busy few weeks here, firstly we took delivery of our very smart new little box made by Alexander's - it's fab and the horses seem to love traveling in it!  The box had its first run out to Weston Park where Sparkle was entered in his first Advanced.

    A Wet & Muddy Week!

Last week kicked off with a lesson with Paul Hayler on Sparkle...he was amazing! We worked on his single changes and trying to get him to sit more and come more uphill in front - even Paul was impressed with how much he had come on, a compliment indeed!

    Sparkle's First Run

Sparkle had a fab first run of the season at Oasby in the ON but since then it's been very busy - I have been doing loads of teaching, including some very busy clinics at Foxberry Chasers

    Excited for the Season

Well it's nearly that time of the year again....the eventing season!! I start next week at Oasby with Sparkle having an easy first run around the Open Novice. He is feeling very well at the moment and it's safe to say we are very excited about starting eventing again!

    Wedding Bells are Ringing

We had a quiet Christmas in terms of horses because I got married on New Years Eve, so we spent the lead up to it planning and making things! The horses were still ticked over either a little bit of schooling or lunge/ hack depending on the weather!
