Anne Priestman

Northern Regional Manager

How long have you been riding?
"I started riding whilst living in Germany aged 9. I had my first pony by the age of 13, joined the Pony Club and went on to work at various yards in numerous disciplines, including racing, hunting and eventing.

I currently own Conner - a 5-year-old connemara that came from Ireland as a freshly broken 3-year-old. Conner is extremely talented, but also a very cheeky character! I also own Murphy XXVI who is a 16.1hh Shire x TB and is a real 'mummy's boy'. Murphy's forte is jumping and he has manners to die for.

What is your favourite horsey activity?
I don't really have a favourite horsey activity - I enjoy most disciplines, especially racing, show jumping, dressage and eventing. I also enjoy helping my daughter Sophie with our young connemara gelding - Just Conner. Sophie enjoys competing at show jumping, cross country and working hunter. Hopefully Conner will be out eventing this season as well.

Who is your all time horsey hero?
My all time horsey hero would be either Best Mate or Milton.

What is your most embarrassing horsey moment?
I am glad to say that I don't really have an embarrassing horsey moment....unless you include having to be air lifted by Air Ambulance after a cross-country fall. I broke my tibia, fibula and ankle joint! More painful than embarrassing really!"
