Spring 2011

At last spring is well and truly on its way and after a long and cold winter it’s nice to have some warmer weather and to be able to enjoy riding in daylight after work! However, this time of year also brings concerns with spring grass and the risk of Laminitis.

With this in mind we are launching our Total Laminitis Care (TLC) campaign to increase awareness of all the products in the Dengie range that are suitable for laminitis prone horses and ponies.

Our new molasses free products, Hi-Fi Molasses Free and Alfa-A Molasses Free, have gone from strength to strength and these along with Hi-Fi Lite, Alfa-A Lite, Healthy Hooves and Alfa-Beet are all approved by The Laminitis Trust ensuring that you can feed with confidence this spring. Read how Alfa-A Molasses Free has helped Shandy in our Horse of the Quarter article. Tracey Hammond is also on hand to guide you through choosing a suitable Dengie diet for laminitic prone horses and ponies in Everything Explained. With six products approved by The Laminitis Trust, more than any other feed company, there's sure to be a solution.

Throughout April as part of our TLC Campaign we will be giving you the opportunity to win a range of fantastic prizes – simply visit our website or Facebook page daily to see what’s up for grabs. We’re also giving you the opportunity to win one of fifty, £5 money off vouchers for redemption against any of The Laminitis Approved products – just simply register your details.

Dengie is also proud to announce its support of The Blue Cross by supplying feed to both its equine centres. When horses are re-homed their new owners will also be encouraged to carry on the Dengie diet for more information on the adoption process at visit The Blue Cross.

Now that the show season’s here there’s no excuse not to get out and about and soak up the show atmosphere and watch some great equestrian competition. A highlight in the calendar is the Royal Windsor Horse Show and we’re giving three lucky winners the chance to win a pair of tickets to this prestigious event. Register or sign in to the Dengie Club to be in with a chance of winning.

Remember we’re here to help so if you have question or are unsure what to feed this spring why not give our Feedline a call on 0845 345 5115 or send us an email.

Enjoy your horses’ this spring,

Lisa

P.S. As I’m new to the team here at Dengie there’s also the chance to find a bit more information on me! See this quarter’s Q&A.
