Diet Planning - Total Laminitis Care with Dengie

The Company with the most Laminitis Trust Approved Products

The Laminitis TrustWith the spring months nearly upon us many horse owners are worried about the risk of laminitis. Feeding advice for managing laminitis prone individuals includes encouraging weight loss if overweight and keeping the levels of sugar and starch in the diet to a minimum. As the horse’s natural diet of grass is the biggest source of ‘sugar’ it often has to be restricted, particularly at times of rapid growth such as the spring months. This can be achieved by stabling, strip grazing or the use of a grazing muzzle.

When it comes to the ‘bucket feed’ flexibility is key as not all laminitis prone individuals are the same. With this in mind Dengie have 6 products approved by The Laminitis Trust so whatever your laminitic’s needs Dengie has the perfect diet solution. Here we tell you more about the 6 Dengie Laminitis Trust Approved products and when to feed them.
