Q&A with Lisa Wilson

This quarter we get up close and personal with our new Marketing Manager, Lisa Wilson.

Q1

How long have you been riding?

Over thirty years – that's scary!! I started riding at a local riding school, however I wasn't fortunate enough to own my own horse until I was 27. I am now the proud owner of Wallis an 8yr old 16.1hh chestnut Hanoverian.

Q2

What are your horsey interests?

I compete at low level dressage and love to watch eventing. Cross country is so exciting to watch; the riders and horses are so skilled and brave to take on those massive fences at Badminton and Burghley.

Q3

What is your most embarrassing horsey moment?

There are lots! I can always remember taking a youngster to his first show and being bucked off with both horse and rider just missing the refreshment van and its customers who were sent running! I can laugh now but it hurt lots at the time!

Q4

Who is your all time horsey hero?

Can I have two? William Fox-Pitt is a great rider who is totally dedicated. Plus Anna Ross-Davis, she worked very hard, made sacrifices to get to where she is today.

Q5

Where have you previously worked?

I worked at Chestfields Equine Products for just under a year. They're a new company who make natural grooming products for horses and pets. Prior to this I worked on an equestrian event and at Musto.

Q6

What's your favourite part of working for Dengie?

It's great to be working for a distinguished company such as Dengie; being able to combine work with my passion for horses is fantastic.

Q7

What is your favourite Dengie product and why?

Since I've owned horses I have always fed Dengie, feeding Hi-Fi on previous horses and now I feed Alfa-A Original. You can rely and trust on what's in the sack, ensuring that Wallis is getting the best feed which he thoroughly enjoys is peace of mind.
