Watch Out 4 Laminitis
If you’ve ever seen a horse or pony with laminitis you’re already well aware that it is a disease to be avoided if at all possible. Unfortunately research by the British Equine Veterinary Association (BEVA) suggests that around 7% of all equines in the UK are affected by laminitis and as obesity, which is a predisposing factor to laminitis, seems to be on the increase, it is likely that this number will rise in the future.
Dengie’s ethos has always been to develop feeds and supplements that are sympathetic to the horse’s digestive system. Our range is based on alfalfa where possible as it is naturally low in starch and sugar and so it is probably no surprise that we are the company with the most products recommended by the Laminitis Trust. This means that whatever your laminitics requirements are, there is a Dengie product to suit them.
