A busy couple of weeks for Bowhouse

We have been to loads of shows over the last few weeks. First up was the Welsh Master and the Viewing trials both at the David Broome Centre. We had two very good shows with wins and rosettes for most of the horses. Bow House Secret and Bow House Zarrisa (Alice) did very well and moved up to jump the 1.25m going clear and being placed. In the 1.30m Arti was placed 2nd and Rubis came 3rd!

Following that we then had a day at Summer House where we finished 1st, 2nd and 4th in the Foxhunter!

Next on the list was the new Wolverhampton Racecourse show, where Secret jumped her first 1.30m getting a place. Unfortunately Alice had 1 pole down in the jump off and Rubis had 1 down in the 1.40m jump off but overall it was a good day with lovely grass to jump on!

Fieldhouse was our next show where Secret jumped the grade C qualifier finishing 3rd with a double clear and Rubis was 2nd in the 1.30m.

Next was a very wet Warrington! We didn't jump many of the horses as the ground was slippy, Rubis did jump the area trail but sadly had 2 fences down.

Last weekend we had a better result at Bolesworth Castle. Secret was placed 5th and was then 6th in the 1.20m Grand Prix out of over 100 horses! Alice also had a second and Rubis had a 9th!

Aswell as jumping we have had 3 Adult Camps in throughout May to the start of June. These have all been very good and everyone has had alot of fun and learnt loads on riding and looking after their horses!

We are treating ourselves to a 2 day holiday before it all starts again with the Cheshire Show then Weston Lawns to jump second round newcomers and foxhunter with Secret, Alice, Oso and Arti.

Our main aim this year is to get Secret, Alice, Oso and Arti all jumping 1.30m - 1.40m with double clears!

Last week we had a long night as Maddie had a lovely filly foal. All is well and we are now waiting for Premium to foal too, who is due in about 2 weeks. Rosie a mare that jumps really well is now going to change jobs and become our next broodmare, she is out of a mare that won a young riders gold medal at the Europeans and By Cavalier Royale. Fingers crossed she should have great foals as she has jumped double clear at 1.30m and is only 8 yrs old! We feel that even though she has a great jump we need to be breeding our own horses for the future.
