A new horse, a website launch and a teary viewing of War Horse!

Tanya's new guest - 16.1hh Bay gelding - TamWell it's been another busy fortnight. I have finally got my website up and running...it's www.buckinghameventing.net ....I hope you will all have a look and any feedback would be very welcome!

Not only have I got the new website, but I have also got a new guest staying! Tam is a 16.1hh bay gelding who has competed up to novice level eventing, he belongs to a friend who sadly struggles to fit in riding around her job so I have the pleasure of schooling and competing her lovely horse. Luckily Beth doesn't live too far away so she can come and ride when she gets time.

Last week Sparkle had two lessons with Paul Hayler which were fantastic. There was lots of shoulder in and transitions to try and get him more engaged for the step up to Novice and CCI* this year. Buck and Bob also had lessons today with Gwyneth, They too were on their best behaviour and so far looking good on the flatwork. Let's hope they still continue to go well by the start of the season!

I registered the boys with British Eventing so they are all ready to go, their first outing will be at Oasby at the beginning of March.
Along with riding all mine, I have been busy schooling some ponies for a family down the road. They are all 14.2hh and under which is always a shock when I first get on them - I feel far too close to the floor!! I have also been keeping some hunters fit for Glenn who I bought Sonyk from and the teaching has started to pick up again now the start of the season is in sight!

Despite being busy I have managed to get to the cinema to see Warhorse! I'm not ashamed to admit I cried almost all the way through the film! I thought it was very good, however I did prefer the stage production! The horses in the war scenes would have without doubt benefited from the Dengie Teams nutritional advice as they all looked so thin!!! Thank god they don't use horses any more for war!
