Mari Durward-Akhurst
BDSC Ball
We all had a fantastic night at the BDSC ball at the end of January. All of my family came (my grandparents and all the family from my mum’s side plus my dad and sister). We had a great time dancing the night away.
I collected a certificate for representing Great Britain at the Junior International at Milfield School, we were also very lucky and won a few prizes in the raffle.
I am looking forward to training with Ady until we are both ready to compete. I hope to qualify for the Junior International which this year is going to be held at Bishop Burton.
Half term has been and gone, mine was very busy with my Birthday and a BEF regional foundation squad training at Moulton, which went very well. Dengie Nutritionist, Claire Akers came to visit me and Ady, unfortunately I was not very well at the time and so missed the visit, however Claire thought Ady was looking well and suggested a few changes to the quantity Ady eats. She is now having less Alfa-A Oil and we have increased the Alfa-A Balancer.
My sister is at home at the moment so she has been able to have some fun riding Ady too. I have also been lucky enough to be able to ride one of my coach’s horses a few times and have been improving my lateral work with him.
