Caspian Update

Springtime, Shows, Support and Sponsorship - Caspian Update from Holly Dale
As I speak, the weather has taken a turn for the better and we are all enjoying brilliant sunshine. At the Henden and Lanhill stud, lambing time is finally over and the foaling season has begun! As I speak, we already have six new foals, with more on the way!
It’s also that time of year when preparations for our annual Breed Show begin and I start to look around for raffle prizes and sponsorship. As always, we’ve had a fantastic response and we are extremely grateful to those that take the time to post prizes or offer sponsorship.
We had a wonderful time at the Royal Bath and West show in Shepton Mallet, Somerset, in May having had the pleasure of the company of Henden Shilpa the purebred Supreme Champion at the Caspian Breed Society Show in 2009. Waiting for her back at the stud are six beautiful new foals, four spritely fillies and two colts – with six more on the way! Visitors are very welcome, so if you've met Shilpa at the showground and would like to be shown around the stud yourself please ring to make an appointment on 01249 782246
We are delighted to welcome some new sponsors this year who have kindly offered to donate time and money to the Society, including Dengie who will be sponsoring the Stallion Class at our annual Caspian Breed Show. The Breed Show takes place on the 22nd August at the Henden and Lanhill Stud, with a range of in-hand and ridden classes. Click here to visit our website for more information or to sign up as a Caspian Breed Society Supporter!
Once again, I would like to thank our fantastic new sponsors for the time, effort and funds that go into sponsoring our Breed Show. We are extremely grateful for the money that we receive and it is brilliant to have such prominent equestrian companies supporting us, as well as our local businesses. Hopefully, together we shall make 2010 a year to remember on the Caspian calendar!
