The inaugural Dengie Pony Club Winter League Dressage Championship was held in conjunction with the 12th annual Dengie Pony Club Winter League Championships at Warwickshire College in Moreton Morrell over the weekend of 29th and 30th March.  An initial entry of more than 4,000 Pony Club members competed in the preliminary rounds in the hopes of getting through to the area final and ultimately earning a place at the prestigious championships.

Tomas Dooley and Pony Bugsey winners of the Winter Show Jumping LeagueA total of 88 talented combinations contested Saturday's show jumping league final with 14 riders making it through to the final jump off.  Tomas Dooley aged 13 and his pony Bugsey, members of the Iveagh Branch, earned a well deserved victory producing only one of six double clear rounds.

The first year of the Dengie Pony Club Winter League Dressage Championships generated a fantastic level of participation  with 80 accomplished dressage riders battling it out for the hotly contested title.  East Aberdeenshire Branch's Lauren Tait and Champagne Bubbles produced a sparkling test that saw the impressed judges awarding her with a final winning score of 78.89%.
