Great News on Dolce Vita!
Well what can I say - a week of good and bad news.
We competed at Sheepgate on Saturday - Dolce Vita won both her Novices with 74.8% and 76.9% so she has qualified for the Winter Regionals. We also took a pony who is in training at the moment and he went HC with me and got 73% and then won with his pony rider with 70%. Van Halen went and won his prelims with 71% and 72% - so a very good day!
The bad news is that we took Nobblesse for an MRI scan on Thursday. Turns out that he has pulled a ligament in his foot so he is going to have to be turned away for at least 3 months. This is very disappointing, but also has the added pressure of the fact that he is always "at risk" in the field - he has a tendency to suddenly take flight - so he is not an easy horse to keep in the field. He is out at night at home to try to get him used to this new regime, and in a few days he will go to a friend, Catherine's farm until December to live out there. We need everyone's fingers crossed that he behaves himself and comes back sound!
The Dressage Nationals are just around the corner. We have two of the young horses in the Young Horse class so I am focusing on that for now.
