Hannah says goodbye to Hi-Fi Senior Star - Crosby the Shetland

Well Happy New Year to you all.

The festive period has been one of highs and lows. We had a wonderful Christmas.? It was Molly's first and I enjoyed opening her presents immensely! I guess she will want to open them herself next year!

We went to see Noblesse in the field. He is off work due to an injury. He is doing very well - great field, and a good mate to hang around with - an ex-ride of mine "Jungle". Hopefully Noblesse will be back in work soon - although he seems to be having so much fun in the field maybe he will not be looking forward to it as much as I will!

Crosby The Shetland The very sad news over Christmas was that we lost Crosby. Crosby was our much loved shetland who acted as a nanny for all the young horses. We nursed him for a week but his pedal bone had rotated and so the decision was taken to put him to sleep. It was such a sad time - his 30+ years made him a real character. He has been a great member of our team at the yard and even starred in Dengie's Hi-Fi Senior ad!  We will miss him greatly.

Competition news; we are out on Thursday and Sunday this week, giving Diva, Vanita and Dolce Vita a warm up for the regionals, for which the three horses have seven rides between them - it should keep me busy but I am looking forward to it. The first day of the Regionals is my birthday so I am hoping they plan to give me a really nice birthday present!
