Happy Belated New Year

Hope you all had a good Christmas. I had a great one and was joined by all the family, after a lot of celebrations the New Year has begun and I wish you all the best for 2011.

Christmas day Ady got spoilt with lots of parsnips, carrots and apples, she enjoyed her stocking very much. She got two new rugs which she likes very much, a waffle rug and a chocolate Rambo Newmarket rug, she looks very smart in both of them.

December was a very snowy month for us and due to not having an indoor school Ady had a lot of days off, but she was put on the horse walker each day. When I was able to get back on her she was not too fresh and we got straight back to work. A lot of the competitions we had been planning to go to had been cancelled due to the snow.

I am very pleased the snow has gone and do not want anymore, I think you will all agree we have had enough!! But now the rain has come; this evening during my lesson the arena was slightly flooded and Ady thought she was an eventer again. As while practising my dressage tests we were jumping all the puddles, but she still went really well so I will let her off!!

Hoping that the sun will come out at some point, but at least the nights seem to be getting lighter which is nice as I can actually ride in the daylight for a change.

Best wishes

Mari
