June 2010 - Jack gets his HOYS Ticket

We have been out and about recently and the ponies are all doing well.

At BSPS Scottish show Zoe and Jack of Diamonds won the 148cm SP and were Champion Show Pony. Riversdale Poker and Kimberley were 5th in the HOYS SHP. After a spell off the circuit, Rotherwood Rainbow rode a beautiful show with Kimberley and was 3rd in the HOYS small ISRT and took the Reserve Scottish Show Pony Championship at the end of the day.

The following weekend Zoe-Martella and myself went for a long weekend to the East of England Show. Carlingford Cherub and Zoe were 2nd in the inhand and 3rd in the ridden Connemara classes. Zoe and Jack of Diamonds Won the 148cm Show Pony class giving them their HOYS Ticket for this year. After a long and difficult decision in the championship they also stood Reserve Champion. Poor Harry did not make it into the ring as they would not hold the SHP class whilst the SP Championship was on so he had a long holiday weekend instead!! I must add that Jacks condition has bloomed due to being fed Alfa-A and NV Digestive Health Plus along with his Alfa-A Balancer which we are almost sure contributed to his high mark of 38 out of 40 for his conformation.

At the Royal Highland Show Riversdale Poker won the 153cm SHP class and Marshbrook Ltd Edition won the 143cm SHP class. Rotherwood Rainbow was 2nd in the ISRT.

Doune and Dunblane turned out a good show for us, where Zoe-Martella riding Jack of Diamonds stood Show Pony Champion and in the Arabs with Kimberley stood ridden Arab Champion. Rotherwood Rainbow with Kimberley was 2nd ISRT and Reserve Champion. Marshbrook Ltd Edition and Zoe won the 143cm SHP and were Reserve Champion.

We have just had a new addition arrive to our team in the form of a lovely show pony called Mountcharles Firefly who will be rode by Sofie Bannister. We are looking forward to our first show with them both and will keep you informed of their results.

We are having a hard time at the moment due to the weather against us as one minute its warm and the next its freezing cold and due to this the ponies are wanting to change their coats and we are battling against the clock to keep them rugged up. Its almost like a game of rugs on rugs off !!!
