Linford is looking for a new home
30th August 2011
Linford has raced under national hunt rules and point to point but sadly he didn’t quite make the grade and his career as a racehorse ended. He then went on to compete at both novice and pre novice level eventing and was placed several times. Linford’s owner put him out on loan in 2009 but he sadly had to return to her in 2010. Since this time his owner has tried to sell him or put him on loan but was unsuccessful in finding the right home for him. His owner then contacted The Blue Cross to see if we would take him into our care and find him the home that he so richly deserves.
Staff are hoping to find Linford an experienced dressage home as he seems to excel at this discipline. He has three well-balanced paces with expression and you can tell that he has been very well schooled in the past. He is a fantastic looking horse and we are hoping that hopefully his ideal loan home will come up before too long.
At the centre staff are riding Linford on a regular basis to keep him ticking over and he is currently fed Dengie Alfa-A Oil for condition along with Alfa-A Balancer. He’s also had Dengie Hi-Fi Good Do-er as a tasty form of extra fibre to help keep him occupied in the stable, as you can see he’s looking really well!
