Oso shines for Bow House once again
We have just finished our summer of Pony Club and adult camps, which have all been great fun. This year we held 8 adult camps with campers coming from 1 mile down the road to over 3 hours away. All the adults that attended these camps over the summer have enjoyed the riding, talks and social evenings. We have also had 6 pony clubs hold their annual camps here during the summer holidays.Over the winter we run show jumping and arena xc competitions and clinics. The show jumping competitions have a points league with a prize giving at the end of the winter for the winners.
We have also been away jumping at Hickstead for the first time, where we had a good show with 3 of the horses qualifing to jump in the main ring for the championships on the last day. Alice, Artisan and Casino all got through in the main ring.
Bow House Oso had a fantastic show, unfortunately she didn't win any prizes but she did double clears at 1.30 each day and she has just moved up from small classes. Sun City (Sunny) went their for his first show and loved it! A few weeks later we went to Hand Equestrian and again had a good show. Oso was once again the star of the show for us, jumping the Grand Prix on the last night. This started at 1.40 and then went up half way round to about 1.50, she jumped so well with only having the last one down. Secret won a foxhunter, Alice had a place and Casino had double clears at foxhunter. Good old 5 year old Sunny jumped double clear round the newcomers despite it only being his second show and the first indoors!

Next we are off to Fieldhouse, with a full lorry; Dinky, Sunny, Casino, Alice, Secret, Oso and maybe Arti.
Rosie (Bow House Cavalier) is now safely in foal and back in work as she had become alittle bit willfull, so we are hoping that some schooling will help her. Her husband Typhoon Z was placed in the young riders class at HOYS last week. Bow House Rubis was also there with George Whitaker, they were placed in some classes. Well done Rubis and George!
The vet came last week to do teeth and annual injections, Rosalind and Little Rupert were both on the list. Well firstly Rosalind only has 3 teeth on the top jaw and Little Rupert only has 2 teeth on the top and all of them are loose! Graham Potts, our vet looked at them both and was amazed by how well they both are. We chatted about diets and I said we make a soup for them of Dengie Alfa-Beet and Fast Fibre. He was really impressed and said he would tell other clients with old horses to feed the same.
