PRODUCT FOCUS - Alfa-Beet for a Calm and Conditioned Winter

4th January 2007

When it is cold and icy the last thing you want is a fizzy horse!Keeping your horse or pony conditioned and calm during the winter months can be a problem.  Horses are often given cereal based feeds to add condition, but research shows this isn't always good for their health and well-being.  Providing energy in the form of slow-release fibre is a more natural, and still effective way, to add condition to your horse or pony.

Alfa-Beet is a low-sugar, conditioning feed for horses and ponies, giving you the perfect solution of how to add condition in the cold, winter months but without the fizz often associated with cereal based feeds - ideal when horses and ponies are stabled for longer during winter.

Alfa-Beet only has 2% starch and 5% sugars compared with 20% starch in most cereal mixes Alfa-Beet is naturally low in starch and sugars (Alfa-Beet only has 2% starch compared to  levels of approximately 20% starch in most cereal based coarse mixes or nuts) so is also ideal for horses and ponies prone to laminitis and is fully approved by the Laminitis Trust.
