Regional Success (Eventually) for Hannah!
Hope the weather has not been too much of a problem for all of you. At the yard we have been very lucky when all around us has been quite awful! The advantages of living on a hill!
The work up to the regionals was really good. Rubin looked amazing and I was confident he should be at the Nationals in the Elementary and the Medium. But, his owner took him hacking the week before and he slipped and slightly injured a tendon, not major, but enough to put him out of the regionals. Shame. Dolce Vita, has come on amazingly but still could have done with a little more time. She won the warm up test with 68.2%...fatal as in her championship test a mini tornado whipped up behind her bum and that put an end to her chances! Oh well, the young horse test had been moved to Saturday at Willerby so we where hoping that she would still fly the flag at the Nationals. The Premier and the CDI was cancelled at Frys due to the conditions, which was a shame as it was a lovely dry few days.
As for Noblesse he has been going fabulously, but he did not feel right the last time he was out and sure enough he came a little lame so he is off to see our vet - we have everything crossed....!
But, finally some good news...Dolce Vita went beautifully at Willerby and won with 79.8%, which was 4% above the 2nd placed horse and the best score of the entire day! She is now off to the Nationals!!!
