SHOW JUMPING BEGINS

The concrete is nearly laid outside the new stables - which is just as well because we were seriously running out of space!

This week I took Ella, Merlin (pictured on the right) and Rebel to an unaffiliated indoor event at Solihull to get their brains back into gear. ?Merlin came third in the novice, Ella was good but a little green and Rebel was cheeky and decided to spook at a couple of the fences.

We have a new groom starting this week. His name is Tomasso and he's from Italy. I've been pretty busy this week fitting in all the riding so it will be great to have someone else around the yard.

Max and Joey have been building up their fitness and Billy is coming in this week to join them on the walking programme. Although we don't have a walker, a friend of ours has one up the road which is very useful at this time of year.

More indoor show jumping planned for this week and I am picking Jack up on Thursday. Carole, his owner says he's been misbehaving in the field so it's time for him to come back to school!
