Having been chosen to be part of Dengie’s supported riders I have worked closely with Anne to get the maximum benefit from the feed for each horse. We have mainly gone for fibre based feed for all the horses at each level and cater for the more advanced horse’s energy requirements by adding the naked oats as and when they are required! The horses are all full of energy and are looking amazing on their new diets! I was at Henderside a few weekends ago and Bud won the open novice! Bob was wild again and seems to be suffering from stress so is having a few weeks off to chill out!
Last weekend we were at Hartpury doing the cic three star with Bud and Jack, both were tense in the dressage as it was in the very posh indoor arena with the flags and gallery which they found far too scary! Jack jumped an amazing clear sj and Bud was unlucky to have two down! Sadly I fell off Bud xc and he was sent back in an ambulance but has since had the all clear after a scan on his leg when we got home! With all the drama of Bud I didn't run Jack xc so rerouted him to Shelford Manor today to pop round the open novice where he went double clear and came 4th! I have recently also been selected for the regional foundation squad which has all the benefits of world class just without the funding! The first training day takes place in September so I'm looking forward to that!
