Watch Out 4 Laminitis

If you’ve ever seen a horse or pony with laminitis you’re already well aware that it is a disease to be avoided if at all possible. Unfortunately research by the British Equine Veterinary Association (BEVA) suggests that around 7% of all equines in the UK are affected by laminitis and as obesity, which is a predisposing factor to laminitis, seems to be on the increase, it is likely that this number will rise in the future.
