World Class Selection Trial
Just a quick note to let you all know some good news - always nice!
Vanita (one of the young horses I ride) was invited by the selection committee of the World Class to go to a selection trial. There where 50 horses and I was told "as few as possible" will be selected. Emile Faurie was selected to ride him as one of the Judge Riders - each group of horses had a couple ridden by the assessors. Vanita went very well for Emile - did try to buck him off at one point but Emile stayed put - thank goodness and Emile said he really liked him. He then had to go forward to a vetting - which he also passed, so now we wait to see if we are selected in the squad. I really enjoyed the day - ti was good to see someone else ride him and how he went - he is such a good boy!
We had already booked him into a competition for the day after the selection trial - to try to qualify for the Winters. He may be a bit tired, but it will be good experience for him. We have also been told that Vanita got the 2nd highest score in the UK in the qualifying rounds for the National Young Horse class - What a star!
I have been busy with my new range of clothing. I opened a great shop in Royston called The Barn Shop which is stocking the range.
