Case Study: Sonnet

Collette Green e-mailed us at the beginning of June 2010 to give us some feedback on her 10-year-old grey Connemara mare Millfields Sonnet who is fed Dengie Alfa-A Original. Collette and her mother Vicki, who owns Sonnet, say that they have been very impressed with the results of feeding Dengie Alfa-A Original.

Collette and Vicki say that Alfa-A Original has helped them to put the extra finish on Sonnet who has never looked so well. A long string of successes also goes to show how well the team are doing and Collette finds that Alfa-A Original is non-fizzing, but Sonnet still has the right amount of energy for the work that she is asked to do. Collette also says that most importantly Sonnet absolutely loves it!

Sonnet was purchased two years ago and Collette soon got to grips with her and the pair had a very successful first year. The highlight was winning the Royal International Horse Show in the New Forest and Connemara section. Collette went into her second season with high hopes, aiming for the Royal International and The Horse of the Year Show. Fortunately she was lucky enough to qualify her again for the Royal International, but due to a freak accident was unable to compete.

As soon as Collette was back in the saddle luck seemed to be on her side and Collette soon qualified Sonnet for the Horse of the Year Show in the New Forest and Connemara section. Collette and Sonnet had an absolutely amazing experience at the Horse of the Year Show and gained one of the highest show marks. Sonnet & Collette HOYS 09

To date Collette and Sonnet have had lots of recent successes including those at the South Suffolk where Sonnet won her Royal International Qualifier and then went onto take the Championship and qualify for the David Manning Champion of Champions and Baston where Sonnet won her class and qualified for the new class for Junior riders at the Royal International Horse show. Now Royal International bound Collette aims to qualify Sonnet again for the Horse of the Year Show.
