Natural Vitality Senior Vits and Mins

Natural Vitality Senior Vits & Mins is a broad spectrum vitamin and mineral supplement formulated to meet the specific needs of older horses and ponies.

Natural Vitality Senior Vits & Mins contains two prebiotics which have two distinct functions. FOS prebiotics provide a food source for specific beneficial bacteria resident in the digestive tract. MOS prebiotics are able to bind with specific harmful bacteria in the gut and stop them from becoming established in the gut. The two tier approach of these prebiotics aims to maintain the health of the senior horse’s digestive system.

Glucosamine is a component of joint tissues and can be fed to maintain healthy joints in the older horse. Glucosamine is incorporated into cartilage and contributes to shock absorbency within joints.  Generous levels of glucosamine in Natural Vitality Senior Vits & Mins mean that this product supplies more of this important nutrient than many specific joint products.

Vitamin C has been identified as an important antioxidant for maintaining pulmonary health. Antioxidants defend the body against free radicals which are produced during normal metabolic processes.

Chelated minerals are trace minerals such as copper, zinc and manganese, that are attached to other molecules to make them easier to absorb from the digestive system. Trace minerals would otherwise be vulnerable to interactions with other minerals in the gut which restricts their usefulness to the horse.
