Case Study: Sky

Sky is a 16hh TB ex-racehorse owned by Deborah, who describes him as a star with fantastic prospects. However, one thing was ruining their relationship; Sky’s hooves! Deborah described Sky as having the worst feet on the planet, with persistently crumbling hooves resulting in hundreds of lost shoes. Sky is also a fussy feeder so Deborah found it difficult to encourage him to eat supplements that might help. Deborah spotted a bag of Dengie Healthy Hooves in her local feed shop in March 2007 and thought it was too good to be true, so decided to try it out for herself.

Deborah started him on 1kg (2 large round scoops) of Dengie Healthy Hooves alongside Sky’s usual conditioning feed.

Although Sky is receiving half the recommended quantity of Healthy Hooves for his size to gain maximum benefit, Deborah says that almost 2 years after introducing Healthy Hooves that the pair have been very successful in competition and it’s all because Sky’s manage to keep his shoes with Dengie Healthy Hooves!
