Like many horses and ponies prone to laminitis, Poppy is a really good doer and so Jessica has to restrict her grazing time and use very little bucket feed to try and manage her weight. As Jessica competes in dressage and showing she is very aware of how important it is for Poppy to be healthy and in top condition. “I have always given Popps a biotin supplement but she isn’t that keen on it. Poppy spends a lot of time stabled during the summer months or in bare paddocks and although Jessica gives her plenty of hay, she eats it really quickly.
