Our feeds are naturally harvested products and the natural variation in the raw materials that we use means that it is normal for the appearance of our products to vary according to the season. Natural variation can occur in different ways just as the fruit and vegetables we eat vary in size, shape and colour. The proportion of leaf to stem can also vary. This is caused by the weather during the growing season affecting the amount of leaf the alfalfa produces – wet conditions tends to produce leafy material for example. Leafy crop will make the product denser and so a bag of feed may take up less space in a feed bin.

We take great care to ensure our feeds meet a high standard. If however, one of our products is not of the standard you would expect then please do not hesitate to contact us. Please call Customer Services on 01621 841188 or alternatively fill out the contact form below.

Please note that we may request to see a feed sample for our evaluation and will also request the details of the batch number and best before date from the bale. These details can be found together on a white sticker on the side of the bag, or alternatively printed directly on the bag. The number under the bar code is not the batch number. We will send a sample bag, freepost label and postage sack for return of a sample for your convenience.
